In this critical role, you'll play a vital role in supporting USARPAC by:
- Technical Content Development: Researching, writing, and editing technical documents, manuals, and guides to ensure clear communication of critical information for diverse audiences.
- Audience Analysis: Determining the most effective methods for presenting technical information, considering the needs and knowledge levels of the target audience.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Collaborating with subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of complex military systems, technologies, and procedures.
- Content Innovation: Generating creative solutions for content delivery, exploring various formats (manuals, online guides, multimedia) to optimize user experience.
- Technical Accuracy: Meticulously reviewing and editing all technical materials to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to USARPAC standards.
To be successful, you'll possess:
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience creating technical content for non-technical audiences.
- Technical Communication Skills: The ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all technical documentation.
- Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, team members, and stakeholders to develop high-quality content.
- Software Proficiency: Fluency in common office software and a willingness to learn new technical writing tools.
An ideal candidate will also possess:
- Military Knowledge: A basic understanding of military operations and USARPAC priorities is a plus.
- Content Innovation: A demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions for presenting technical information is desirable.
- Multimediaware: Experience with various content formats, such as online tutorials and multimedia elements, is a plus.
