Empower USARPAC with Knowledge Sharing and Innovation

Are you a passionate knowledge management specialist with a knack for transforming complex information into actionable insights? If so, this US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Knowledge Management Specialist position within the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) could be your ideal opportunity.

In this critical role, you'll play a vital role in optimizing knowledge sharing across USARPAC by:

• Knowledge Management Strategy: Developing and implementing a comprehensive knowledge management strategy to capture, store, and disseminate vital research findings, lessons learned, and best practices across USARPAC and its stakeholders.
• Information Visualization: Leading the development of user-friendly dashboards and presentations that effectively communicate monitoring and evaluation findings for evidence-based decision-making.
• Collaboration and Innovation: Guiding the development of innovative knowledge management tools and platforms to promote knowledge capture, collaboration, and evidence-based learning across USARPAC.
• Communication and Outreach: Designing and coordinating knowledge sharing events to foster collaboration and information exchange among internal and external stakeholders.
• Reporting and Evaluation: Supporting the preparation of regular reports to track the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives within USARPAC.

To be successful, you'll possess:

• Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience working with knowledge management frameworks, preferably within the context of international development programs.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of information technology and its application to knowledge management.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences.
• Collaboration: A proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and facilitate collaborative decision-making.
• Analytical Skills: The ability to synthesize large amounts of information and extract valuable insights for knowledge management applications.

An ideal candidate will also possess:

• Education: An advanced degree in journalism, communication, knowledge management, or a related field is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Experience working with IT teams and web design/building is a plus.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government personnel, NGOs, and international partners.
• Community Building: Prior experience in developing and fostering knowledge-sharing communities is desirable.
