Do you possess a deep understanding of cultural nuances and a passion for fostering communication across diverse communities? Are you eager to leverage your expertise to support US Army Pacific (USARPAC) operations within the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR)? If so, this Cultural Advisor position could be an ideal fit for you.
In this critical role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, bridging cultural divides and fostering successful collaboration between USARPAC personnel and individuals from the INDOPACOM region. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Cultural Understanding and Communication: Providing expert guidance on cultural norms, customs, and sensitivities to enhance communication and collaboration across cultures.
• Mission Support: Tailoring cultural awareness training programs to equip USARPAC personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate diverse environments effectively.
• Community Engagement: Building positive relationships with local communities, fostering mutual understanding, and supporting USARPAC's mission objectives.

Experiences and Qualifications desired:

• Active Security Clearance
• Academic Foundation: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as anthropology, sociology, cross-cultural communication, or international relations. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Cultural Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the cultures and customs of the INDOPACOM region is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to diverse audiences.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with people from various backgrounds.
• Organizational Acumen: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: The willingness to adapt to a dynamic environment and travel within the INDOPACOM region when necessary.

Additionally, experience in the following areas is a plus:

• Prior experience working in a cross-cultural environment, particularly within the INDOPACOM region.
• Familiarity with US military operations and protocols.
• Fluency in languages spoken within the INDOPACOM region.
